I was approached by the owner of Woodside Fishery, a small rural-based commercial match fishing venue in Shropshire, to design them a site which would allow them to change and update information on a weekly basis. Despite its infancy, the venue has quite the reputation but previous attempts to find an online look and identity the client was truly happy with had received mixed success. Therefore, rather than being a complete redesign, this paricular project was more of an overhaul making use of existing assets but improving on them as well as adding new elements at the same time.

Again, given the beautiful surroundings, the website features many high quality bespoke images as well as bespoke video alongside a strong use of the venues logo and colour scheme. The site boasts a quite traditional layout but with multiple pages all offering a substantial amount of information. The site also incorporates multiple social media feeds from Facebook including live streams, X, Instagram as well as the businesses YouTube channel, an interactive calendar for each month of the year, two blog pages, multiple contact forms, press downloads from various trade magazines and an interactive online chat facility.

Woodside Fishery is not your typical fishing / holiday destination. Given its location, the site offers both anglers and holiday makers alike an experience they will remember. Woodside bucks the trend of over commercialised venues and offers a very natural setting in which you can truly relax and enjoy a fantastic days fishing, or a break away from routine.
