KING
CHARLES HOUSE

Proprietor Darren Yong approached me requiring a brand new website from the ground up to promote his recently acquired public house and eatery. Darren was pretty open minded regarding the overall design brief but wanted the historical significance of the property to resonate throughout the site with a heavy focus on the venues links to King Charles II and the surrounding area. The restaurant is a listed building with a fascinating history, quirky interior and is a cut above your average pub dining experience.

The website mirrors the branding of the restaurant with a striking black and gold colour palette throughout. Like a lot of websites I design, it boasts a clean, uncluttered look with multiple navigation options and a clear layout. The site features numerous galleries to showcase both the building and the superb food coming from within. There are also links to his socials, a means for clients to contact him via an online form and interactive chat facility. Clients can also reserve or book a table online thanks to full integration with their existing booking system.

The King Charles House is one of the oldest and signigicant buildings in Worcester with its origins dating all the way back to 1500's. The building is most famous for aiding King Charles' escape from Cromwell's forces during the Civil War and its oubliette, which has a story or two to tell.

The King Charles boasts an enviable reputation and is widely considered one of the best eating houses in Worcester. Focusing on serving traditional pub food to a very high standard as well as a comprehensive range of local ciders & ales, The King Charles really is fit for a King!

Boasting a superb location near the centre of the historic City of Worcester on the River Severn, The King Charles enjoys superb custom throughout the year and is popular among tourists and locals alike. The King Charles offers a truly unique dining experience you will remember.
