Business founder, Mark, approached me wanting a website designed and built completely from scratch with very little on-line presence before speaking to me besides newly created Facebook and Instagram accounts. Mark has set up Hughes Handy Home Solutions alongside working a full time job meaning the site as it stands is still very much a work in progress with plans to add more content as and when he is able. Despite not already having a website, Mark had a very clear vision on how he wanted the site to look with the colour scheme mirroring his logo, which by default, commanded quite a bold design.

 

The use of bold colours helps the website to stand out and helps convey a confident and professional image with a strong contrasting green and black coupled with blue and white accents. The site is fairly minimal in terms of the number of pages instead favouring an almost single page design, but provides the necessary information clearly and concisely.

A lot of existing websites within this particular field of work tend not to be very professional with many opting not to have a website at all. Not only does Hughes Handy Home Solutions now have a website, it is, even if I say so myself, one of the more visually appealing and professional examples out there.

The website has been built around a simple, no nonsense approach with ease of navigation remaining a central focus throughout. The site features links to Mark's business socials and a detailed contact form allowing him to glean a good amount of information from prospective clients. There are also plans to add video to the site in the near future as and when the opportunity allows.​
